The Pour Over Coffee Method

The pour over coffee method is very simple, more environmentally friendly than a Keurig and creates a more complex flavor than a traditional coffee maker by allowing more of the natural oils to be extracted.

Pour over coffee how to:

Step 1.  Fill the water kettle to the max line and turn on.

Step 2. Place the pour over dripper on top of the insulated thermos (style may differ).

Step3. Fold over the bottom seam on the cone shaped paper filter and fold the filter again to make it fit in the dripper.

Step 4.  Add the coffee grounds (we provide locally roasted Thundermuck from Columbia Coffee Roasters, https://www.columbiarivercoffeeroaster.com). Use 4 to 6 heaping dessert spoons depending on how strong you prefer your coffee (we use 4).

Step 6. As the initial pour of water filters out, once again pour heated water trying to wash the coffee grounds that are stuck to the side down to the bottom.

Step 7. Repeat step 6 until the water kettle is empty.

Step 8. Place the thermos lid on the insulated carafe which will keep your coffee hot for hours.

Step 9. Enjoy!
